As for Firefox, once you have a TOR router setup, you need to go into the network proxy settings, Preferences>Advanced>Network Tab>Settings. Then add the TOR relay IP/host, i.e., localhost or 127.0.0.1, and the port, i.e., 9050, as a socks host (leave others blank). This should route your web traffic through TOR.
